Hi, I'm Abigail — the hands (literally) behind YassNails.
My press-on journey started in 2021 after I received the COVID vaccine and had a severe reaction that caused me to lose all of my toenails. From that point on, I developed an allergy to gel and acrylic products — the same products I had been using every two weeks for years because, simply put, I love having my nails done.
I live by one motto: It's better to stay ready than to get ready. Whether it's an unplanned event, a last-minute date, or just a Tuesday, your nails should always be on point.
Suddenly unable to sit in a nail salon or DIY my nails at home, I turned to press-ons. And I quickly learned what most press-on wearers already know: finding a set that actually holds up is harder than it should be. I've tried cheap sets and expensive ones, and too often they snap the moment you touch something — especially in longer lengths.
So I started making my own.
Over the years, I experimented with different nail tip brands, tested them through real everyday tasks, and found the ones that actually hold. My press-ons are handcrafted using gel products, but once cured and dry, they won't cause a skin reaction — making them a safe alternative for anyone who is allergic to traditional gel or acrylic, or who doesn't want to be exposed to those chemicals.
